My journey isn't all that simple, and I'd like to think it's even a bit unique. I was just like any other child growing up - full of energy and life, curious and playful. However at the age of six, was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis; this caused my white blood cells to multiply and eat away at my spine and brow bone. As we grew to learn more about this disease, we faced the fact that there wasn't a lot of information and a liklihood that I wouldn't survive it.
At such a young age, I started to see life and my body in a different way and felt beyond blessed as days, weeks, and months passed where I was stil alive!! I decided to see it from the perspective that we have a choice in how we care for ourselves in mind, body, and spirit and vowed to find a way to help others heal themselves as well.
After years working as an EMT and in nutritional services at a hospital, I moved to New York City to pursue Learning & Development, helping professionals improve their confidence in themselves through coaching and training, bringing in healthy eating and wellness wherever I could. In 2017, my father had a severe stroke and it was the wake up call I needed to kick myself back into gear and decided to get my certification as a Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Being able to combine all of my skills, knowledge, and expertise to partner with individuals looking to make a change in their lives to reclaim their health has been the most humbling and rewarding experience. Weight loss, lowering stress, healthier eating habits, stronger relationships with ourselves and others ... it's all possible and attainable, however we often don't know where to begin nor do we realize how big of a challenge it can be to take those steps until we're in the thick of it. That's why I love to be there for you and with you, each step of the way, to help ensure you reach your health and wellness goals, to prevent illness and diesease, and to live your best life.
